Maths! can help you to greatly improve your mental arithmetic skills, through four different challenging levels and three main difficulties. In each of the modes, there are three possible questions: +, -, or x. The way they are used depends on the mode you are playing. The modes vary greatly, but are based on the same game engine.

There are four modes in the game:
- No time limit: You guessed it! This is the only mode with no time limit or no high score counter. Its a no-pressure version of the game. Its main function is just to help you prepare for the other three modes.
- Fastest Finger: You have five seconds to answer each question. If the time runs out, game over, and you receive your results. This mode is the best for rapid mental arithmetic skills that so many children and adults alike lack.
- Against the clock: You have 100 seconds to answer as many questions as you can. Right or wrong, the clock will only stop when the time is up. You receive the results when the time is up.
- Ultimate: This mod is the same as Against the clock, except with a simple, time-wasting difference - There are three numbers to add, subtract, or multiply! This will really test your arithmetic skills.
